Imagine that tomorrow night when you get home from school, work, practices, etc. you open the door to find Jesus Himself standing in your living room. That would be a shocker for most of us. I've often wondered how I would respond if that happened to me, but for now, let's suppose that you were expecting Him.
Imagine that, as Jesus turns to greet you, these words blurt out of your mouth:
"Jesus, I want You to do for me whatever I ask of You."
Yikes! That's not what you expected to come out of your mouth, was it? Most of us can't imagine being that bold with Jesus. But the disciples in this Sunday's Gospel were, and Jesus's response might surprise us.
